The 2024 RTDNAC Awards will be presented on Nov. 9, 2024, during a luncheon at The Speedway Club at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Register here to attend. All attendees need a ticket!
Maya Eaglin is an award-winning digital reporter and one of the co-hosts for Stay Tuned, NBC’s Gen Z brand with over 11 million subscribers on Snapchat, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube. Her reporting is also showcased on Nightly News with Lester Holt , TODAY, NBC News Now, MSNBC, and NBCNews.com. Previously, Maya was a news associate at NBC News where she worked on production for The Rachel Maddow Show and in the control room for Meet The Press Daily. She has also interned for NPR, NBC-WRC4 in Washington and NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt.
In college, Maya was a producer, reporter and eventually news director for her university’s broadcast station, Elon News Network. Maya has received a Gracie Award and two Front Page Awards for her reporting at NBC News, along with two Hearst Awards, recognitions from the Broadcast Education Association, Online Pacemaker and College Media Association during college. Originally from the Washington DC area, Maya holds a degree in journalism from Elon University in North Carolina.

The entry deadline for the 2024 RTDNAC Student Awards has been extended to Sept. 23. The original deadline was Sept. 16.
Students can enter 10 categories.

The deadline for the student competition is Sept. 16.
The Radio Television Digital News Association of the Carolinas will begin accepting entries for its 2024 awards competition on June 1, 2024.
There are more than 20 station categories for radio and TV outlets to enter, plus 12 individual achievement categories. Student journalists also have a chance to enter with 10 categories to choose from.
Entries must have been broadcast online or on-air between July 1, 2023, and June 30, 2024.
The deadline to enter is July 23 for professionals and Sept. 16 for students. Winners will be announced in the fall.

This year’s keynote speaker will be Morgan Radford, a correspondent for NBC News and anchor for NBC News NOW based in New York City. She is originally from Greensboro, N.C.

Morgan co-anchors “NBC News Daily,” a daily news program from 12-2pm ET, and her reporting frequently appears on TODAY Show, NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt, Noticias Telemundo and MSNBC.
Since joining NBC News in 2015, Radford has covered the country’s biggest stories including the 2016 and 2020 presidential elections, the disproportionate impact of COVID-19 on low-income communities, and America’s racial reckoning following the 2020 shooting death of George Floyd. Her coverage of the immigration debate over the U.S. southern border was part of the MSNBC “Border Special” nominated for a 2020 “News Discussion and Analysis” Emmy Award. Radford also won the 2020 Gracie Award for National TV News On-Air Talent.
Prior to joining NBC News, Morgan was an anchor for Al Jazeera America and previously worked for ABC News at their headquarters in New York City.
Morgan received her bachelor’s degree from Harvard University, a master’s degree from Columbia’s Graduate School of Journalism and a Fulbright Fellowship from the United States State Department, where she spent one year teaching in Durban, South Africa. Radford is fluent in Spanish and was certified by the French Chamber of Commerce for business proficiency in French. She currently serves on the Columbia Graduate School of Journalism’s Board of Visitors (J’10).
